Mama Knows Best
I always picture the moms of football players hating what their sons do for a living and freaking out with every injury. But not Chris Wells' mom, no sir. Mama Wells called up the Columbus Dispatch and said her boy will be back on the field for Saturday's game against Ohio U. It's just a toe injury, right? Hell, he's got nine more. Rub it off on the grass and get back out there to make your mama proud!

Happy Father's Day!
My friend gave himself a FD gift this year by taking his kids to the Father's Day Catch at the Great American Ballpark - information here and here. It's a fundraiser for the Reds Community Fund, which is a pretty cool organization. They're not curing cancer or anything, but they do a lot of good.

Too Much Love
It's pretty rare that I want to buy concert tour tickets for anything in Cincy. But tomorrow there are two shows at once I'd like to see. Jersey Boys and Moody Blues. When it rains, it pours. Maybe I can just run back and forth between the two, like they do on sitcoms when they accidentally have two dates. That always works, right?

598 and Counting
I hope Griffey's rested up and ready to hit 600 soon. He's just two homeruns away from it! He's got to be feeling pretty impatient. Can you imagine the anticipation?

Double header, double disappointment
What a difference a couple of games can make... looks like the Pirates had it out for us.
So much for us coming out on top in the post season. :(

A gift from the Cincinnati Reds
Merry Christmas!
And happy birthday, and congratulations to the Houston Astros on breaking their 10-game winning streak! Too bad it had to happen at the expense of the Cincinnati Reds.
Don't say we never gave you anything...

Mo, Mo, Mo!
I feel like Billy Idol. Allow me to bask in optimism. I like the prospects of Bailey baseball. The Reds are armed and dangerous. Okay that was corny, but really the mound is looking good for the Reds. A young arm with a 98 mph fastball. Narron knows Bailey is their season ticket.
